It’s my honor and privilege to help people out due to hard circumstances that are created by the complications from both medical treatment and finances in work-related matters,” said Leventis. “If we can help you, please give us a call.”
Leventis recently taught a continuing legal education (CLE) course for the S.C. State Bar Association’s “on-demand” courses. His hour-long seminar, “South Carolina Workers’ Compensation: Beyond Title 42,” is designed for South Carolina attorneys who focus on workers’ compensation. It covers a number of areas that go beyond the workers’ compensation rules and regulations outlined in Title 42 of the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Code of Laws. Check it out, or sign up for the course.
About the seminar
“S.C. Workers’ Compensation Beyond Title 42,” is a fast-paced presentation highlighting and outlining many different authorities and sources which can be found outside of the black letter law of S.C. Code Annotated Title 42. Generally speaking, the vast majority of the statutory and regulatory authorities a South Carolina workers’ compensation attorney needs to know falls within the confines of Title 42 of the S.C. State Code, or the accompanying Regulations of Chapter 67, but there are other sources that the savvy Workers’ Compensation attorney needs to know in order to be successful.
This presentation emphasizes a bevy of additional compelling and persuasive authorities that often arise when litigating a workers’ compensation case in South Carolina. Whether the case is in the early stages of discovery, about to be litigated or currently on appeal, there are any number of Court Rules, Regulations, or other statutory sources that may apply. This presentation provides helpful insights into that, and many others areas of workers compensation. Presenter Peter Leventis has spent many years practicing workers’ compensation law both as a defense attorney for employers and insurance carriers, as well as advocating on behalf of injured workers. The seminar touches on many different topics, and promises to provide helpful tips for beginners, intermediate level and even the most seasoned of practitioners.”
