May Harvest Hope Volunteering
On Tuesday, May 16th, a group of SBLTV employees spent the afternoon volunteering at Harvest Hope food bank in Columbia, South Carolina. While there, the group split into two smaller groups to help the food bank with two projects.
One group checked expiration dates on donated food items and boxed them up for use.
The other group sorted donated items into separate food groups (breakfast, snacks, pasta, rice, etc.) so those items could be easily boxed for use.
Harvest Hope is South Carolina’s largest food bank and their mission is to eliminate hunger and food insecurity in the state of South Carolina. With locations in the Upstate, Midlands and Pee Dee of South Carolina, they provide an average of 20 million meals to those in need throughout the year. We look forward to partnering with Harvest Hope again later this year.
